GOTR is a way to help yourself. I have learned how to use words and actions. it is also a way to keep your body healthy and straong. GOTR has helped me through running and helped me to become a better person. Isabelle, Grade 5
I like Girls on the Run because I get to run and talk about what to do when I am being bullied. It is helpful because I was being bullied and my feelings were hurt. I learned what to do, and say I feel frustrated because you are saying mean words and I would like you to stop. Jamil, Grade 3
Girls on the Run means we get together with our friends to talk and run together. I like it because we all are friends and encourage each other even if we didn't know each other in the beginning. Loren, Grade 5
I really like GOTR because i've made new friends, I've learned new stuff about myself (inner beauty) and I get to spend more time with my mom, she's my running buddy. Chirstina, Grade 3
From a mom whose daughter is in the program: ...has gained confidence in her ability to run and to set a goal (running 3 miles) and achieve that goal. I think her self confidence has improved dramatically being with this group of girls and instructors.
